Here at Tractive Power, we provide companies all around the world with innovative solutions to manual handling and health and safety issues within the workplace. Our battery powered electric tugs are designed to push, pull and manoeuvre loads of up to 50 tonnes using only a single user. However, in order to ensure that health and safety is upheld, it’s important that our clients receive the right training. In today’s blog we’ll be explaining what training is available to our clients.
Is Training Advised For Electric Tugs?
Unlike forklifts and other manual handling vehicles, our tractive units don’t require a license to be able to operate them. However, we still recommend taking part in our training. After all, in order to ensure the safety of your equipment and the people operating it, it’s important to have a good understanding of how it works.
Through being trained on how to use the equipment, this should minimise any accidental damage, or any injuries that could be caused if not used correctly. Not only that, but by being fully trained, productivity will also be improved as your staff will be prepared to use it for any situation.
What Training is Available For Clients?
Full operating training is available upon delivery of the tractive units. This can be offered to any amount of staff that you believe may benefit from having in depth knowledge on how to use an electric tug.
This training will ensure that all of your employees are competent operators by the time that they come to use the product. In the case that you take on new employees or go a while without using the tug, we can also offer refresher training.
