Arla Foods see maximum uptime with Tractive Power full maintenance

Tractive Power has just delivered their TP500 dairy cage pusher into a fifth Arla Foods site at the new Bellshill depot, Glasgow. This is now the sixth Electric tug that Tractive Power has put into Arla Foods and are now the preferred choice over any other competitors, after proving their products show superior performance and reliability above and beyond other dairy cage pushing equipment previously used at Arla Foods.  The remote control system on the battery tugs has also allowed the operation to be performed by a single user if required, which is especially helpful to aid busy periods throughout the day.

Arla Foods is one of the UK’s leading dairy companies and process approximately two billion litres of milk a year. Cravendale, Lurpak and Anchor are some of Arla’s well-known brands.  Arla is aiming to increase production capacity by almost 40 per cent at its Lockerbie dairy, which will enable the company to meet growing demand from customers. The new depot will have the capacity to deliver both fresh milk products direct to store for the business, and also other products for own and third-party customers through Arla’s pallet network.

Additionally, Arla has also placed their annual Christmas period order with Tractive Power for the pedestrian tug units to handle the increased roll cage movement required to accommodate the increased production.
