Having good hygiene practice when cleaning your electric pushers from Tractive Power, is something that has come into sharp focus since the Coronavirus pandemic began.
COVID-19 like many respiratory viruses is believed to be transmitted from one person to another through respiratory droplets that float through the air when an infected person coughs or sneezes. These droplets can land on you and make you unwell, plus if they fall onto a surface they can take up residency for a time.
The World Health Organisation has stated that contact surfaces need to be washed down and touched surfaces need to be frequently cleaned and disinfected. This includes surfaces such as plastic, stainless steel and fabric.
With this in mind, our latest blog will focus on how to clean your electric tugs.
How to Clean Electric Tugs
First, turn off and unplug any detachable parts such as the battery, using disposable gloves. Use a stainless-steel cleaner to wipe down using a microfibre cloth then use moderately warm water and dry with a towel or microfiber to stop water spots appearing. Using a mildly alkaline all-purpose detergent and a damp cloth and gently wipe down the plastic handle but make sure you wipe in the direction of the grain to avoid streaks.
After you have wiped the equipment down, give it time to air dry and make sure you are cleaning it frequently to avoid any build-ups of stubborn stains.
For disinfecting your electric pusher, use a diluted alcohol-based disinfecting solution or rubbing alcohol with at least 70% alcohol. If you have used chlorinated cleaners make sure you wipe and dry equipment immediately afterwards.
